What's to Be in 2023?

With any luck, this winter will be the last that the Gihon Valley Hall is shuttered against the cold and snow. High on our list of building improvements is getting the hall outfitted with a more robust heating system so that we can continue to be a gathering space for the community year round.

But for now we're enjoying the down time to dream and plan for what's to come.

First on our schedule of events for 2023 will be a Spring Theater Workshop led by veteran thespian and professor, Dr. Russ Longtin. On April 23rd he'll be teaching a FREE acting workshop about the fundamentals of auditioning, followed by an actual audition for a production of 'The Laramie Project' to be performed on our stage this June. Keep an eye on this space for more details.

We also look forward to welcoming spring with our annual Green Up Day event and pie sale on Saturday, May 6th.

If you have ideas for events you'd like to bring to Gihon Valley Hall, or just a general curiosity about how you can get involved with our efforts, reach out!

Our volunteer committee meets throughout the winter on the 4th Mondays of the month at the Hyde Park Town Office and via Zoom (passcode: 313040) while the hall is buttoned up for the winter.
