In August we had the chance to meet with the Lamoille County Planning Commission and VTrans to walk along the road here in North Hyde Park Village to get a better feel for just how challenging it is for pedestrians and bicyclists to navigate our neighborhood alongside the busy traffic on Rt. 100. We're excited for VTrans to help us explore traffic calming measures to make our community more safe and accessible.
Also in August, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work on some DIY repairs to the hall including efforts to better insulate the basement and exterior doors in preparation for when we are able to heat the hall for use into the colder months.
All are invited to join our September committee meetings via Zoom on Monday September 14 and Monday September 28 at 5:30pm. We'll be discussing ongoing building renovation projects and planning of our next events and fundraisers.
