The Gihon Valley Hall committee had the pleasure of popping-up at Tuesday Night Live in Johnson and at the Jedediah Hyde Ice Cream Social in Hyde Park village during July. It was great to see friends and neighbors and share news on our work at the Hall.
We're beginning to line up plans for a North Hyde Park Fall Fest on September 25, a multi-venue, neighborhood-wide festival that will bring food, crafts, yard sales, music and more to the village. The fest will coincide with a test of temporary sidewalks and crosswalks that VTrans is permitting us to try out with the help of Local Motion. Save the date, and let us know if you'd like to get involved as a crafter, host a yard sale, or something else!
Our old front porch got a bit of a facelift in July with a new metal roof to keep us shiny and dry for years to come. The community garden is also spilling over with fresh greens that are there for anyone to pluck and enjoy.
