Gather 'Round

Once again Gihon Valley Hall opened its doors for Green Up Day, Vermont's annual roadside clean up effort. We handed out bags and swapped seedlings and seeds with our neighbors along with free seed packets generously donated by High Mowing Organic Seeds. Our popular pie sale was also in full effect.

We love Green Up Day because it's emblematic of the same spirit of community care that drives our efforts to make the North Hyde Park neighborhood welcoming, walkable, and vibrant.

The good vibes were all the moreso this Green Up Day as local musicians, Brian Hamlin and Company, performed live on our lawn. It was just too nice outside to be indoors!

We look forward to more music from Brian and friends in the future.

Recently we also held a theatrical reading of the two-person play 'Barrymore' led by our volunteer theater director, Dr. Russ Longtin. Anyone who has an itch to hone their stagecraft should take advantage of Russ's workshops and community theater productions we'll be offering throughout the season.

If you have an event you're interested in bringing to Gihon Valley Hall, we're currently scheduling for the rest of our season. Theater productions, puppet shows, live music, workshops, yoga classes, committee meetings, and private functions are welcome.

Latest Meeting Minutes

Our committee's efforts currently include stewarding the final touches on the window restoration work that Preservation Trust of Vermont has helped make possible, and applying for grants to help fund accessibility improvements to the building.

Want to learn more about our work? Download our latest meeting minutes below. During the spring, summer, and fall the committee meets the first and third Mondays at 6pm.
