Welcoming Spring & April Minutes

On May 1st, Vermont's annual Green Up Day, we opened our doors for the first time this season. Gihon Valley Hall was once again a Green Up bag pick up station for the community, giving away roughly 90 bags for roadside spring cleaning.

We welcomed about 30 people to the hall throughout the morning where we had a fresh baked pie sale and a ceremony to dedicate the new Little Free Library that's now on the hall's front porch. The library was made possible by Friends of Lanpher Memorial Library, built by Dan Noyes, and will be cared for by the Thoeni-Olsen family.

It ended up being a chilly Saturday morning, so we were grateful for our brand new heat pumps keeping the hall toasty warm -- exciting progress from our Vermont Arts Council grant.

If you'd like to get involved with the Gihon Valley Hall, please join our May committee meetings via Zoom on Monday May 10 & 24 at 6:00pm.
