2023 Hyde Park Lighting of the Wreaths

It's time to welcome the holiday season with Hyde Park's annual Lighting of the Wreaths! This beloved tradition, started by the Hyde Park Community Circle, will be hosted this year at the Gihon Valley Hall.

We'll light up the wreaths Saturday December 2nd at 5pm with a ceremony at the Gihon Valley Hall at 5503 VT 100 in North Hyde Park Village. Light dedications will be read aloud, live music will be performed, carols will be sung -- you will be invited to sing along -- and treats and warm drinks will follow.

All are welcome to join in person or tune in to the live stream video on our Facebook page. Holiday sweaters, Santa hats, and jingle bells are optional, but welcome!

Community members may purchase lights in honor, memory or celebration of a loved one or event. Commemorative lights should be ordered by November 24th! Lights are $5/each.

Proceeds from the sale of lights will provide funding for the wreath lighting and future community events by Hyde Park Community Circle and the Gihon Valley Hall Committee.

One wreath will be placed in Hyde Park Village at the courthouse and one in North Hyde Park at the Gihon Valley Hall. The lights will remain lit into the month of January.
